Picea sitchensis: Sitka Spruce 2-0, 8" to 15"

 Sitka Spruce can grow to 200' and develop huge trunks up to 5' in diameter. The wood is used for lightweight construction, it's the second most important timber species in Oregon, after Douglas Fir. It needs cool, foggy, moist but well drained sites near the coast to do well. It rarely grows inland more than 50 miles.
