General Details

Two needle pine from the Cascade range. It is more cold tolerant than the coastal variety. Frequently used as understock for  grafting interesting two needle cultivars to be later shipped into cold climates parts of the USA. The trees are branch free high into the trunk. Native Americans used the straight stems for tents and travel. Timber used for poles, fence posts, log homes.
