Chamaecyparis lawsoniana: Port Orford Cedar (Band Pot)

Lacy cedar style foliage is silvery on the bottom, dusty green on top. It’s popular for garlands and floral decorations in the commercial Christmas greenery business. More lightweight than some other cedars, it’s flexible and graceful. Can be susceptible to root rot in foggy or wet areas, it usually resists disease in dry soils for decades but may eventually succumb. A very graceful, pyramidal form that is beautiful in large landscapes. The largest in it’s species, it will grow to 100′ or more.
