General Details

A member of the olive family, Oregon Ash is a fast growing tree to 75′.  It will tolerate very wet soils, even standing water for some period of time. The wood is used for furniture, baseball bats, tool handles and boats. The leaves are medium large and arranged in leaflets on a stem. They turn a rich yellow in the fall.  The seeds grow in small clumps. An important source of food for deer and elk.
